A strange romance will be born with the anime Keikenzumi na Kimi to
Kadokawa publishing house issued a press release announcing that the light novels written by Makiko Nagaoka and illustrated by mako, Keikenzumi na Kimi to, Keiken Zero na Ore ga, Otsukiai suru Hanashi (You Were Experienced, I Wasn’t, And This Is How We Started Dating), will have an anime adaptation. The press release did not reveal production details or a premiere date, but did include the first promotional image for the project.
Additionally, makoillustrator of the original light novels, shared a special illustration to celebrate the announcement.
Nagaoka began publishing the light novels through the imprint Fujimi Fantasia Bunko of Kadokawa in September 2020, while the fourth volume was released on February 19, followed by the fifth on September 20 in Japan. Noyama Carpaccio is in charge of the manga adaptation, which is published through the service Gangan Online of Square Enix since February this year.

Ryuuto Kashima is a gloomy high school student. Due to a punishment game, he is forced to confess to Runa Shirakawa, a girl from the highest caste in the school and admired by everyone. They end up dating for the unexpected reason of “Err, I’m free now so…” but, Ryuuto ends up following and listening to Runa confessing to a handsome soccer club member, and Runa carrying Ryuuto, whom she just started dating, to his own room as normal.
