Arknights: Prelude to Dawn Anime Reveals New Trailer
On the official site for the anime adaptation of the video game for smartphones developed by hypergryph, Arknight’s, a new promotional video for the project was released. This adaptation will be titled Arknights: Reimei Zensou (Arknights Animation: Prelude to Dawn) and the press release does not yet reveal a scheduled release date.
It should be remembered that a previous leak would have already confirmed that “Prelude to Dawn” It is a first season and it will have a total of eight episodes. This last information is pending verification.
The video game was released by Chinese developers Studio Montagne and hypergryph in May 2019. Subsequently, the distributor yostar was responsible for launching it worldwide in January 2020. Arknight’s already inspired an animated short titled Holy Knight Light in December 2020 to commemorate the first global anniversary of the project.
On the other hand, the developer and distributor yostar founded his animation studio Yostar Pictures in 2020 with Hengda Li as its representative and CEO. Archa Tokyo-based company that helped produce the feature film Promarewas a fundamental part in the creation of this study.

- Yuki Watanabe (Plastic Memories, Kiznaiver, New Game!, Mikakunin de Shinkoukei) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios Yostar Pictures.
- Aya Takafuji (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai, Little Witch Academia, Promare) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
arknights synopsis
The game takes place in the dystopian and post-apocalyptic future setting of the planet Terra, where people exhibit kemonomimi characteristics – characteristics of animals or mythological races. The natural disasters that hit the world have aided in the production of a valuable mineral, Originium, which enables the use of the “arts” (magic) and often infects people with a progressive disease, the Oripathy virus. Due to the 100% mortality rate of the disease and its high infectivity at the time of death, hostility towards those infected became widespread, leading to their mass quarantine and expulsion by governments around the world, and caused tensions between the infected and the uninfected.
The player assumes the role of the “Doctor”, who leads a team of “operators” from the island of Rhodes, a pharmaceutical, medical and self-defense organization. As the Oripathy virus spreads, the team must search for a cure while fending off threats like the Gathering Movement, an infected anarchist military force hell-bent on overthrowing the governments of Terra in revenge for persecuting victims of the Oripathy virus.
