Chainsaw Man celebrates its second episode with incredible illustrations
On the official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, chainsaw man, a variety of illustrations were shared to celebrate the airing of the second episode of the series. In addition, the closing sequence of this second episode was revealed, which has the theme song “Zanki (Time Left)“, interpreted by ZUTOMAY.
The first was done by Ryū Nakayamaproject manager at the studios MAP.
The second made by Shu (駿)who participated in the animation of the episode.
The third was made by Minami Sekiwho participated in the animation direction of the episode.
The fourth was made by ゾノ (@zonozonu)who participated in the production.
The fifth was made by “I touch (@dot__)“, who participated in the direction of animation.
Kazutaka Sugiyamacharacter designer of the project, shared a series of stills made in his work as animation director of this episode.
Other independent artists who stood out during the week included “STEPHEN (OOF ARC) (@stephengiannart)“; “champi (@c_h_a_m_p_i_8)“; “gaku (@gaku69229487)“; “餡 (@ANcoo_mm)“; Y “blank (@2_blankk)“.
The series has been broadcast since October 11 in Japan and is confirmed with a total of twelve episodes, while the platform Crunchyroll handles its distribution in the West. On the other hand, Fujimoto started publishing the manga chainsaw man in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in December 2018, ending the first part in December 2020. The second part of the work moved to the digital service Shōnen Jump Pluswhere it has been published since July 2022.

Synopsis for Chainsaw Man
The story takes place in a world where Demons threaten the peace of humans, making them targets to be eliminated. Denji is a young and depressed man who has sold several of his organs and works as a lumberjack and demon hunter to pay off his late father’s debt. Denji owns a dog (who is also a demon) named Pochita, who has chainsaws and which he uses to do his work.
This is explained because humans can make contracts with demons. After returning home from a job, Denji is called in by a Yakuza to infiltrate a building and assassinate another demon. However, the plan was a trap to kill him as part of a Yakuza contract with the demon, gaining them more power. But Pochita comes to Denji’s aid and bonds with him, becoming a half-man, half-demon and acquiring Pochita’s chainsaws.
