Gaina Announces Anime and Musical FLAGLIA

A press release from the studios Gaina reported the production of a new anime and music project titled FLAGLIA. The project aims to “connect anime and musicals,” and will include both an original anime and a musical adaptation. The original anime is titled FLAGLIA and is listed as a television series, while the musical will be titled FLAGLIA The Musical: Yukite Kaerishi Monogatariand will be presented between February 3 and 9, 2023 at the Nippon Seinenkan Hall in Tokyo.

While the musical will develop a story centered in the Middle Ages, the anime will present a story centered in the present. Madoka Takadono (Devils and Realistic) credits the original story and scripts for both projects, while Tsuneyasu Tomoyoshi is in charge of directing the musical and the librettos.

Production team

Itsuro Kawasaki (Rental Magica, Sengoku Basara – Samurai Kings, Arc the Lad) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios Gaina.
Jiwataneho is in charge of character design, while Eriko Itu (Love and Lies, Magical Senpai) is in charge of adapting them and directing animation.
The musician and actor Yoshikuni Douchin and the South Korean actor Yoonhak will star in the anime adaptation, marking their debut in the voice acting industry. Both will also star in the musical alongside Toshiki Setothe members of NIK, Hyensou, taehoon, TAI CHI, parka, Kogun, RYUTA, RYO, Yunsol, Waku Sakaguchi, Shoutarou Ookubo, Tatsuya TomoishiY kenji sakamoto.
