Isekai Ojisan Anime Reveals Premiere Date With New Trailer
On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Hotondo Shindeiru, Isekai Ojisan (Uncle from Another World), the second promotional video was revealed. The video confirmed that the series is scheduled to premiere on July 6 in Japan, and that the Netflix platform will handle its global distribution on a date to be confirmed.
The announcement also revealed new voice cast members, including:
- Kenichi Suzumura like Edger.
- Nobuhiko Okamoto like Raiga.
- Hisako Kanemoto like Sawae.
For its part, Hotondo Shindeiru publish the manga through the service comicwalker from the publisher Kadokawa since June 2018, after publishing it for a while independently through Twitter Y pixiv. The publisher published the fifth compiled book volume in October 2020, followed by the sixth in June 2021 in Japan. The literary franchise has surpassed 1.5 million copies in circulation.

- Kazuhiro Oota (Kimi no Iru Machi, Negima!?, Paniponi Dash!) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
Synopsis of Isekai Ojisan
Autumn 2017. The nephew, Takafumi, went to the hospital to visit his uncle, who had just woken up from a seventeen-year-old coma. However, he seems to have lost his mind, as he claims that he was in another world called “Grand Bahamar” during all this time, and even seems to speak a strange language. But everything changes when his uncle, an ordinary human, shows him that he learned to use magic in the other world. Thus, when Takafumi realizes that the magic his uncle uses is completely real, he proposes that she use his skills to become a successful YouTuber. Now taking care of him, Takafumi and his uncle start to get involved in the streaming life, while his uncle tells him from time to time about his life in the other world.
