Kaguya-sama: Love is War already exceeds 18 million copies in circulation

The leaks of the next edition of the magazine Weekly Young Jump revealed that the literary franchise based on the manga written and illustrated by aka akasaka, Kaguya-sama: Love is War (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen), has exceeded 18 million cumulative copies in circulation. The count includes digital copies sold and all spinoff manga.

On the other hand, Akasaka began publishing the manga in the magazine Miracle Jump from the publisher Shueisha in May 2015, and moved it to the magazine Weekly Young Jump in 2016. The publisher published the twenty-fourth compiled volume in December 2021, followed by the twenty-fifth on March 18 in Japan.
In addition to several spin-off manga, the work also inspired a twelve-episode animated adaptation produced by the studios. A-1 Picturesunder the direction of Shinichi Omata and scripts written by Yasuhiro Nakanishipremiered in January 2019. A twelve-episode second season premiered in April 2020, while a third season is currently airing.
