Mashle: Magic and Muscles reveals its voice cast with a trailer

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Hajime Komoto, Mashle: Magic and Muscles, a new promotional video of the project was published. The video reveals the project’s voice cast, while confirms that the premiere remains scheduled for the year 2023 in Japan.

The voice cast includes:

• Chiaki Kobayashi as Mash Burneddead.
• Reiji Kawashima like Finn Ames.
• Kaito Ishikawa like Lance Crown.
• Takuya Eguchi like Dot Barrett.
• Queen Ueda like Lemon Irvine.

Koumoto began publication of the manga Mashle: Magic and Muscles through the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in January 2020. The publisher published the eleventh compilation volume in May 2022, and followed by the twelfth on July 4 in Japan. According to the official site, the adaptation will cover the entirety of the original work.

Production team

• Tomoya Tanaka (HUNTER x HUNTER (2011), Engage Kiss, Visual Prison) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios A-1 Pictures.
• Yousuke Kuroda (Boku no Hero Academia, Highschool of the Dead, Btooom!) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
• Hisashi Tojima (Enen no Shouboutai, High School Fleet Movie, Bem Movie: Become Human) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
• Masaru Yokoyama (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, Horimiya, Plastic Memories) is responsible for the composition of the soundtrack.

Synopsis for Mashle: Magic and Muscles

To everyone else in his magic-dominated world, young and powerless Mash Vandead is a threat to the gene pool and must be purged. Living secretly in the forest, he spends every day training his body, building muscles strong enough to compete with magic itself. However, seeing his identity exposed and his peaceful life threatened, Mash begins her journey to become a “divine seer”, a role so powerful that society will have no choice but to accept his existence. .

Thus, to maintain her peaceful life, Mash, without magic, enrolls in the prestigious Easton Magic Academy, competing with the sons of some of the most powerful and elite in the kingdom. Lacking the skill needed to survive in Easton, magic, Mash seems to already be at a disadvantage against his classmates. To achieve his goals, Mash will have to fight her way through each trial using only his fists, overcoming magic with her muscles, all for the illustrious title of Divine Visionary!
