Keigo Makiauthor of the franchise Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie (Kawaii dake ha Nai Shikimori-san), shared an update via his official Twitter account showing a graphic that reads “最終話 (Final Chapter)“, which served as a clue that the author is already writing the final chapter of the work and that, therefore, the manga is nearing completion.
The author’s publication did not reveal more details, so we will have to wait for more information on the status of the work to be revealed. It should be noted that the manga inspired an anime adaptation in 2022, however, if the original manga ends it means that the chances of a second season decrease considerably.
For his part, Maki began publishing this manga through his Twitter account under the title Kawaii dake ha Nai Onnanokoand subsequently began publishing it through the service Magazine Pocket from the publisher kodansha in February 2019. The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation, produced by the studios Doga Kobo and premiered in the season of Summer-2022 (July-September)with crunchyroll in charge of its distribution.
