Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid dates its second season with a preview
On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Koharu Inoue, Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid (The Duke of Death and His Maid), a new promotional video for the second season of the project has been revealed. The video confirms that the premiere has been scheduled for next July in Japan.
The first season premiered during the season of Summer-2021 (July-September)with a total of twelve episodes, while the platform funimation (now crunchyroll) is in charge of its distribution in the West. For his part, Inoue published the manga through the portal Sunday Webry from the publisher shogakukan from October 2017 to May 2022.
Production team
- Yoshiki Yamakawa (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka, High Score Girl, Little Busters!) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios JCSTAFF in collaboration with studios SMDEwho handled the CGI animation.
- Hideki Shirane (Boku no Kanojo ga Majimesugiru Sho-bitch na Ken, Date A Live, Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
- Michiru Kuwabata (High Score Girl, Penguin no Mondai) is in charge of character design.
- Gene Okuda Y Takeshi Watanabe (Fantasy Bishoujo Juniku Oji-san to, To LOVE-Ru Darkness, Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai) are in charge of composing the soundtrack.
Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid Synopsis
Cursed by a witch as a child, a young duke gained the unwanted power to kill all living things he touches. Forced to move away from his family and to a large mansion deep in the woods, the duke is treated as if he doesn’t exist and is continually shunned by his peers. However, he is not completely alone. Rob and Alice, his butler and maid, are always by his side. Alice loves to tease him, and as their relationship grows, the duke sets out to break free of his deadly curse. Of course, he’s going to need help, and who better to help than the various denizens of the supernatural?
