Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Reveals Another Trailer For Upcoming Movie

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime), a new promotional video was revealed for the for the next feature film in the franchise, to be titled Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Movie: Guren no Kizuna-hen. The video reveals the main theme song titled “Make Me Feel Better” and performed by “Make Me Feel Better”, and also shows more advances of the story of the feature film, which is scheduled for release on November 25 in theaters in Japan.

As previously announced, the statement also indicated that the film will hit theaters in USA, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, France, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Latin Americaand so on, beginning in December. Crunchyroll will handle distribution in most of the above territories.

The official synopsis writes:

• A long-running conspiracy swirls around a mysterious power known as “Queen” in Raja, a small country west of Tempest. When a slime turned Demon Lord named Rimuru Tempest crosses paths with Hiiro, a survivor of the Ogre race, an amazing adventure filled with new characters begins. The power of bonds will be put to the test!

The first season of the anime adaptation was produced by the studios 8-Bitunder the direction of Yasuhito Kikuchi and scripts written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasuand premiered in October 2018. The second season was directed by Atsushi Nakayama and aired in two halves in January 2021 and July 2021 in Japan.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Synopsis

Satoru Mikami, 37, is a typical company worker who is perfectly content with his monotonous lifestyle in Tokyo, aside from never having gotten a girlfriend once in his life. In the midst of a chance encounter with his colleague, he falls victim to a random assailant on the street and is stabbed. However, as he succumbs to his injuries, a peculiar voice echoes in his mind and recites a bunch of commands that the dying man can’t make sense of. When Satoru regains consciousness, he discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime in an unknown realm. In doing so, he gains new abilities, most notably the power to devour anything and mimic his appearance and abilities.

Next, he stumbles upon the catastrophic-level sealed monster “Storm Dragon” Veldora, which has been sealed for the past 300 years from rampaging through a city. Understanding his situation, Satoru befriends him and promises to help him destroy the seal. In return, Veldora grants him the name Rimuru Tempest to grant him divine protection. Now freed from the mundanities of his past life, Rimuru embarks on a new journey with a clear goal in mind. As he gets used to his new physique, his gooey antics spread throughout the world, gradually altering his fate.
