The anime Mix: Meisei Story will have a second season
On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Mitsuru Adachi, Mix: Meisei Story, the production of a second season was announced. This second season will take place after the summer in the first year of high school, while TVwatch will air the first season again starting this month in celebration in Japan.
Mitsuru Adachi the publication of the manga began in the magazine Monthly Shōnen Sunday from the publisher Shogakukan in May 2012, where it is still in publication. On the other hand, the first season of the anime adaptation premiered during the Spring-2019 season (April-June) and had twenty-four episodes.
Production team
- Odahiro Watanabe (Soul Buster, Tokyo Ghoul:re) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios OLM.
- Atsuhiro Tomioka (Ace Attorney, Inazuma Eleven, Pokémon XY & Z) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts, in collaboration with Tatsuto Higuchi, Kenichi Yamada, YoshifumiFukushima Y Chinatsu Houjō.
- Takao Maki (Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls, Laughing Under the Clouds) is in charge of character design.
- Norihito Sumitomo (Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball Z Kai) is responsible for the composition of the soundtrack.
Synopsis for Mix: Meisei Story
Due to the legend left behind by Tatsuya Uesugi, Meisei Academy’s high school was known for its strong baseball team. But 26 years after its glory, the team has failed to maintain its record and has lost its fame. Two stepbrothers, Souichirou and Touma Tachibana, set out to revive Meisei Academy’s once-strong baseball team and enter the National High School Baseball Championship. Souichirou and Touma are second-year students at Meisei Academy. They are both extremely talented baseball players. Souichirou has shown excellent ability as a catcher and hitter. Although he has extraordinary ability as a thrower, Touma no longer throws due to a certain reason. Once the two enter high school, they pair up like a drummer and aim to enter the National High School Baseball Championship!
