The anime Summertime Render reveals a trailer for its second part

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga by yasuki tanaka, Summertime Render (Summer Time Rendering), a new promotional video was published for the second part of the project that will begin with the broadcast of the episode on July 7 in Japan. The video previews a snippet of the new opening theme titled “Natsuyume Noisy” and performed by Asaka.

The series has been broadcast since April 14 through television stations TOKYO MX Y bs11as well as in Kansai-TV. The Walt Disney Company will be in charge of the distribution of this series on a global level, being Disney Plus who will distribute it in Japan. Additionally, the series is confirmed with a total of twenty-five episodes that will adapt the entirety of the original manga.

For his part, Tanaka began publishing the manga Summertime Render through the digital service Shōnen Jump Plus in October 2017 and finished it in February 2021, while the publisher Shueisha published the thirteenth and final compiled volume in April 2021 in Japan.

Production team

  • Ayumu Watanabe (Kaijuu no Kodomo, Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara, Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu, Uchuu Kyoudai) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios OLM.
  • Hiroshi Seko (Banana Fish, Darling in the FranXX, Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi, Jujutsu Kaisen) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
  • miki matsumoto (Major 2nd (TV) 2nd Season, Satsuriku no Tenshi) is in charge of character design.
  • Keiichi Okabe, Ryūichi Takada Y Keigo Hoshi are responsible for the composition of the soundtrack in the studios MONACA.

Summertime Render Synopsis

After the death of his parents, Shinpei Ajiro lived with the Kofune sisters: Mio and Ushio, but has since moved to live on his own in Tokyo. But after Ushio drowns trying to save young Shiori Kobayakawa, he returns home to mourn her departure. However, the bruises around Ushio’s neck cast doubt on his cause of death. Taking a step back, Shinpei becomes convinced that there must be another explanation. Dangerous entities haunt the islanders, and a vision of the late Ushio asks him to “save Mio” as her last request.

He is certain that something is afoot and that Ushio’s death is just one piece of the puzzle. With the help of Mio and others, Shinpei struggles to forge a future where he, his friends, and his family can stay alive. But the more he investigates, the more impossible that future seems. Darkness infiltrates his home island. How much more suffering will he endure before he finds the right path to save it all?
