There is nothing to doubt, the final season for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, shingeki no kyojin (Attack on Titan), has been the longest in recent times since it has been extended in multiple parts that have made it seem infinite. However, it is now that there were finally signs of life for the franchise and now we know when the final goodbye will come for the series.
This Tuesday, the Japanese television station NHK announced that the third and final part (now yes) for the anime Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season will be divided into two parts. The first part will be released on March 3 in Japan through a special broadcast. The second part will also be broadcast during this 2023, but for now it does not have an official release date.
It is worth mentioning that the number of episodes that each part will have has not been confirmed and this detail is very important since taking into account the little that remains to be adapted from the manga, it is difficult to imagine how the content will be distributed in each half.
The final season anime adaptation has amassed a total of twenty-eight episodes to date, with sixteen airing in the season of Winter-2021 (January-March) and the other twelve issued in Winter-2022 (January-March). For his part, Isayama began publishing the manga in the magazine Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from the publisher kodansha in September 2009 and finished it in April 2021, compiling the work in a total of thirty-four volumes.
