Ao no Orchestra Synopsis
Hajime Aono lived for the sound of his violin. Since he was little, he admired his father, a world famous violinist, who inspired him to learn to play the instrument. But after his parents’ bitter divorce, Aono swears never to play again and heads off to school with no direction or prospects.
During a physical education class, the unathletic Aono is hit in the face by a ball and ends up in the infirmary. There he meets the cheeky Ritsuko Akine, who starts playing the violin in her room, believing that she is alone. However, following an incident in the past, rumors spread that Akine is a bully, which has isolated her from her classmates, a fact unknown to Aono.
Akine dreams of enrolling in a school with an orchestra, but his playing and lack of musical knowledge greatly annoy Aono. Seeing in this a perfect opportunity for the two to become friends, his teacher suggests that Aono teach Akine to play the violin, something Aono vehemently opposes. However, as they spend more time together, they soon learn to understand and help each other, and Aono may finally discover the lost passion and melody in his life.
