The superhero manga SHY confirms its adaptation to anime

A press release officially confirmed the production of an anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Bukimi Miki, SHY. The statement listed production details but did not reveal a scheduled release date for the project. The author commented on this:
- I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and supported SHY’s work so far. Thank you so much for everything! I’m sure Shy herself is very nervous about the animated series, but if her work encourages as many people as possible, she couldn’t be happier. Let’s all enjoy Shy-chan’s hundred times more powerful vividness and embarrassment!
Bukimi Miki began the publication of this manga in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion from the publisher akita shoten since August 2019. The publisher published the fifteenth compilation volume in August 2022, and will publish the sixteenth on October 6. This is the first work by the author, so antecedents about his art cannot be listed.
Production team
- Shimoji Shino will play Teru “Shy” Momijiyama.
- Masaomi Andou (Kuzu no Honkai, Gakkougurashi!, Kanata no Astra) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios 8-Bit.
