The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash Novels Will Get Anime
A press release reported that the light novels written by Honobonoru500 and illustrated by name, The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash (Saijaku Tamer wa Gomi Hiroi no Tabi wo Hajimemashita), will have an anime adaptation. Production details and release date will be announced soon.
Honobonoru500 began publication of the novels through the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in August 2018, and later began its publication in paper through the editorial TO Books in November 2019. A manga adaptation by the hand of tou fukino is in publication through the service cartoon crown since February 2020.

When Ivy was born into this world, she remembered her past life. Remembering her preincarnation, she strove to avoid conflict. But fate jelled at the state check, when the children learn who they are. Because she only had one skill – Taming – and not a single star. Ivy was weak from the start: at best, she could tame a slime. And in her world, most people didn’t give their time to the weak. Only one woman from her village treated her as if she were her own. But after she “died”, Ivy took her hint and ran away from her house. While she was running away, she met a small slime and named it Sora. And so begins the poignant survival story of a little girl who knows how to tame beasts.
