Webtoon Kanojo ga Koushakutei ni Itta Riyuu is getting an anime

A press release reported that the webtoon written by Milcha and illustrated by whale, Kanojo ga Koushakutei ni Itta Riyuu (The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion), will have an anime adaptation. Production details and release date will be announced soon.

The webtoon is, in fact, an adaptation of the novel originally published on the site Tappytoon. Whale began publishing the work through the digital service Fross Comic from the publisher Kadokawawith its first compilation volume published in November 2019. Regarding the adaptation announcement, the artist whale wrote: “I am very happy to see the characters alive and in motion. For a while I didn’t really feel it, but at that point I finally started thinking, “This is really going to be an animation!” I would like to thank you again for your support in the animation of this work».

Synopsis for Whale, Kanojo ga Koushakutei ni Itta Riyuu

Following a mysterious death, Park Eunha enters the world of a novel. She is revived as a minor character, Raeliana McMillan, who is to be poisoned to death by her own fiancé. To break up with her dangerous fiancé, she offers a surreptitious deal to the novel’s male lead, Noah Wynknight, but ends up having affairs with other men who aren’t part of her plan. Noah Wynknight, of inescapable but suspicious charm; honest Justin Shamal, who only loves one person; or Adam Taylor, who she has a soft spot for for no reason every time she sees him. Will Raeliana successfully emerge from this crisis and will she create a new ending for herself? Who will be the one to join Raeliana in her new ending?
